I love the color pink! It is nice that my four-year-old also loves pink because I have an excuse to decorate a room in my house with as much pink as I want. I also love the shabby chic look, so I used a little of that style too. We went with two-toned walls in her room. The bottom of the chair rail is pink. I didn’t want to overwhelm her with the color! I actually tried to match the stripes on this picture:
It is a nice picture I found at Hobby Lobby. We went ahead and bought her a big girl bed, even though she doesn’t sleep in it. Of course, her quilt and curtains are pink. The quilt is a light shade.
I also made her a nice reading nook beside her bed. The little rocking chair was a wonderful find at an antique store for less than $30. She has a lot of books in her bookshelf. Some of her seasonal books didn’t fit, so I placed them in a little basket.
I absolutely fell in love with this sweet little French doll! I gave it to my daughter as a birthday gift.
My favorite thing in her room has to be her dollhouse! She has so much fun with it! Next to it she has a little play oven and a cute tiny bench. The bench actually opens to store tiny toys inside. These are sitting on top of a distressed white step stool made by my husband.
Here is a closer view of the baby bunny.
My little lady has a lot of fun in her room. I wanted to make her a place where she can be imaginative as well as a place to relax.
Have a great day!
