Hello! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week! Today, I am going to share with you my little collection of country items that I store above my kitchen cabinets. I had this area bare for the longest time when we first moved in years ago. My inspiration all started with one little blue saltbox house:
I thought it was the cutest thing! It was hanging out up there all alone. That was until I found a local country store nearby and found a couple more. Then the search was on! I wanted more of these cute little saltbox houses. Throughout the years I have found more and now I believe my collection is complete. Or maybe? I also have some wooden ones, but I really prefer the resin houses. So here is my collection of saltbox houses:
I wanted a variety of country items up there though. On the other side of my cabinet area above the fridge, I have a cute primitive doll sitting on a chair. This doll is pretty old and has collected a lot of dust over the years. I have my eye on this doll when it is time to finally replace her.
Here is a beauty of a house I found. I’ve had it for awhile now so one of the stars fell off. It actually lights up.
I surrounded it with a miniature glass dachshund, willow tree, and chicken pull toy. I think the arrangement came out cute!
On the corner, I have placed a cotton wreath. It is being held by a star standing wreath hanger.
To the left, you can see my collection of wooden houses.
It can sure get dusty up here sometimes. I am constantly cleaning my collection, but that is okay. I’ll most likely purchase a hutch to store some of the houses when my little lady outgrows her play kitchen. For now, this is fine. My cabinets look really plain without anything up there.
I hope you enjoyed viewing my country collection!
