Hello, everyone! I recently went on an antique shop hop and was inspired by some of the things I saw. I love anything vintage. Today, I am going to share with you a table centerpiece I created using a beautiful antique scale. I actually purchased this item from Etsy:
Isn’t it a beauty? It looks very nice sitting alone on my burlap runner, but I wanted to add a few more details to it.
My latest obsession are olive buckets in all shapes and sizes. I prefer the vintage ones. There is already a pile of them sitting in my foyer just waiting to be used for spring projects! I was lucky to find a few smaller sized ones from Etsy. One of these would look beautiful sitting on top of my scale. Which size should I use? Here is a medium oval olive bucket:
I also have a tiny round one:
It doesn’t look like much of a difference; however, the tiny one is lighter and I don’t want to put too much weight on my scale. I believe the scale is from the 1950’s. The tiny round bucket will do for that reason.
I decided to fill the olive buckets with these hydrangea flowers. It is impressing how real they look!
Well, that pretty much does it for my antique table centerpiece. I hope you enjoyed it!
Have a blessed weekend!
