My extra living space is important to me because I have a full view of it from my favorite area on the couch. That is why I enjoy keeping it nicely decorated.
My talented husband was kind enough to build me the shelf, chair, and step stool. Before he built all of this, I didn’t have anything to decorate! It was just one huge empty wall.
Most of the pieces stay the same throughout the year. I like to change out the picture in the frame according to the season. Right now, I have a spring school picture of my little lady in the frame. The miniature houses stay up all year-long because I love them so much! The house pedestal is also a treasure to me.
To get the shelf spring-ready, I purchased these adorable glass vases and simply placed a faux white tulip in each one.
The bird pedestal was a lovely find from my local country shop. It has a nice vintage look to it!
I am very excited about my primitive doll, Ella! She was mentioned in my post about decorating above kitchen cabinets. I finally made the purchase and I do not regret it! I will definitely be buying more dolls from this collection soon.
She is sitting on top of a tea-stained doily with a battery-powered candle beside her.
Below the chair sits a lantern I purchased around Christmastime. To the left, I have a tall wooden house on top of a step stool.
My little lady’s mini farmer’s market is right next to the extra living space. Her area is decorated like I would any other part of our home.
I hope you enjoyed visiting my little extra living space. Find a place in your home you look at frequently and decorate it in a way that makes you happy!
