Hello! Today, I am going to show you a cute little project I worked on over the weekend. It is for my little lady and I call it a shabby chic play area!
Some of my favorite projects are the ones for my little girl. I love making creative spaces for her! She plays so well by herself. I can hear her in there just singing away in her cute little voice!
I only needed to buy one thing for this project. It is a big plus when you want to change something up and realize you already have most of what you need. So I just needed a small rug.
I showed you in my previous post, sweet little girl’s room, how I had her room set up. She had a canopy over her bed instead of a headboard. I decided to move her bed and use the canopy as a little nook for her to play or read in. That is why I needed the small rug. I found a pretty pink shag rug from Target. It is very comfortable to sit on.
I also placed a pretty pillow, some toys, and a book in there.
We also had this cute pink poodle nightlight. It looks great at night!
A lot of pink going on here! I’m glad we went with the two-toned walls in her room. When we first moved into our house, my older girls shared this room. We had cotton candy pink everywhere! After that it was purple because the girls got older and had their own rooms. My middle daughter took this room. She loves purple so that’s the color she wanted for her walls. So many paint color changes happened throughout the years!
I am constantly changing things up. It forces me to be creative. My job can be very stressful at times so using my creativity is very therapeutic for me.
While I was out this past weekend, I also spotted this darling vintage jewelry box. I bought it at an antique store and gave it to my little girl. It’s perfect for storing all of those tiny little toys she has.
I hope you enjoyed this little area I creating for my daughter. Let me know what you think!
Leilani certainly loves it!
